Meet Your Salesman: Frank Chamberlin

Frank Chamberlin

ADD Systems continues its series of introducing our regional sales team by re-acquainting you with one of our longest-serving salesmen: Northeast representative Frank Chamberlin.

After more than 18 years with us, Chamberlin now transitions to a broader role of mentoring and consulting with all our sales people. Joining in coverage of the New England states is Brian Reynolds, who has been with us for nearly three years, based out of Maine.

A native of West Newbury, Mass, Chamberlin served in the U.S. Navy, and after active duty served an additional six years in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, with a degree in business management. Chamberlin has been in the computer and software industry since 1966.

Here is some of his personal thoughts on working as an ADD salesman:

“I joined ADD Systems in early 1992 as the Northeast sales representative and have been here ever since. I have enjoyed my position, always dealing with petroleum distributors in the New England States. ADD Systems has given me the opportunity to become a mentor to younger salesmen and I find it one of the most fulfilling positions I have ever held. My role is to help guide the activities of new salespeople and to provide the industry knowledge and experience they need to be accomplished salespeople. I hope that my 40-plus years of experience is helping them and also building a stronger sales force for a company I love working for.

I have developed so many strong relationships over the years with customers that I consider them more like coworkers, or friends. There is no feeling like walking into a customer’s office and being recognized, offered a cup of coffee, and catching up on their family and personal lives. At the same time, we’re all in business, and my goal is to help these partners of ADD Systems understand what the software and related technology can do for them, to solve problems, and to listen to their needs.

In the next year my work schedule will be reduced, giving me more time to enjoy my favorite pastime, fishing and camping in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire with my wife Jacky, who is a past ADD Systems employee. I can only say thank you ADD Systems for the opportunities to work as a mentor in the Sales Department, it has been a very rewarding experience.”
