Two years have flown by since we announced our product convergence strategy at ADD Systems’ 2008 User Conference. Since then our design, development, quality assurance, documentation and training teams have created, tested, documented and implemented ADD Energy E3® 2009 and ADD Energy E3 2010. Each of these versions includes thousands of hours of new product development, enhancements and new data structures focused on the wholesale and product movement portions of E3.
If you are a fuel oil company, propane company, wholesale/lube distributor, the time has arrived to evaluate the ADD Energy E3 2010 release. Early adopters and evaluators have identified many benefits of upgrading from their current version of software to our converged ADD Energy E3 2010.
Another major announcement at the last User Conference was an expanded commitment to the convenience store market. We introduced our newly formed “retail team,” which consists of many people with over 20 years of store experience, along with a group of experienced ADD Systems Microsoft .net developers. The ADD Retail team worked with a Customer Advisory Council made up of retail chains
ranging in size from 10 to 100+ stores. This assemblage of talent and experience brought forth ADD eStore™, a brand new product that has progressed from the laboratory to customer beta-testing to live deployments
with user praise and endorsement.
If you’re a PAMS customer running the C-store/Service Station modules and Power*Store2® there is a logical migration path available to you.
You can implement ADD eStore along with our new Atlas Business Intelligence product while retaining your current in-store systems. PAMS can stay in place for your other business operations. This first step toward our converged product will provide a powerful and enhanced C-store operating platform at your home office along with the ability to analyze the mountains of data generated by your stores. Atlas BI can import the POS Journal file into our data warehouse. A suite of standard reports has been created, including:
- 7-Day Sales Trends
- Cash Over/Short Alerts
- Promotion Performance
- Top Ranking Items
- Traffic Analysis.
One of the primary challenges of a C-store operator is evaluating store data. eStore working with Atlas BI can provide actionable information to help you stay competitive and manage your business more effectively.
For existing E3 customers who own convenience stores but have implemented a competitive C-store product, now may be the time to evaluate our state-of-the art eStore and Atlas BI products. We have tightly integrated eStore with ADD Energy E3 and Microsoft Dynamics GP®. And, because this software was developed over the last few years, it addresses today’s market requirements.
Our Atlas development team has initially focused on designing and developing Atlas for our convenience store companies. Live deployments have taken place and we will soon begin the process of designing and developing the requirements to make the Atlas BI available as an add-on to ADD Energy E3, fueled by our 38 years of experience serving the petroleum industry. We will assemble a customer advisory team to help guide us in this development. If you are in the propane, fuel oil, service, lube or wholesale business and want to participate in and affect this development please contact John Redmond (ADD Systems’ Vice President, Product Strategy) at Redmond@addsys.com or call 800-922-0972, extension 3280. Atlas BI is another example of how our convergence strategy will benefit all the industries we serve.
As a customer of ADD Systems a significant benefit you will see from our product convergence strategy is people-related. Increased collaboration within and across our various offices and home-based employees began during the design and development phases of our convergence projects. It has now progressed to cross-training of the Support and Training and Implementation teams. As an example, the Support and Training team in Orlando has begun to learn ADD Energy E3. As part of this process the Orlando team has performed a mock installation of E3 from conversion through pre-live training, to go-live. Although new to E3, the Orlando team averages 15+ years of service, and brings deep industry experience in wholesale, accounting and convenience stores. That talent matches up well with the Support and Implementation teams in New Jersey, resulting in a wider and deeper talent pool that can serve you in a more effective and timely manner.
If you are a customer running PAMS, Sunrise, Classic, Super Jobber, ADD Energy or a prior version of ADD Energy E3, now is the time to realize the benefit of our converged ADD Energy E3 2010 product along with eStore and Atlas BI. Please contact your ADD representative to discuss your individual benefits and potential migration path.
