A.E. Robinson Oil Company Deploys ADD eStore™

Flanders, NJ – (Advanced Digital Data, Inc.) ADD Systems is pleased to announce A.E. Robinson Oil Company in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine is the first to fully deploy ADD eStore™ at all of its retail locations throughout Maine. A.E. Robinson Oil Company has been in business since 1950 and is a family- owned and operated company with three offices and retail locations in the state of Maine.

ADD eStore is a home office / store manager software solution for the convenience store industry. Its intuitive data centric solution offers marketers unprecedented visibility into their operations as well as a dynamic and easy-to-maintain Pricebook. The Atlas Reporting™ Business Intelligence platform, delivers detailed analysis and reporting is a must have for any business that requires efficient access to actionable information in order to make critical, timely decisions.

“Maintenance of virtually everything in eStore is so straightforward and easy,” said Scott Goodridge, IT Project Manager for A.E. Robinson. “It has a ton of possibilities and I think I’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg with this system’s capabilities. We are very anxious to get into the Atlas Reporting Business Intelligence piece so that we can get a better view of what’s actually going on in our c-stores. In the end we think that the “total package” of ADD eStore along with the Atlas Reporting software will really help us analyze, understand and grow our c-store business”.

ADD eStore is the culmination of a research and development effort that began in September of 2008. ADD Systems formed an advisory “Retail Partner” council to guide the design efforts for its new convenience store software package. The Retail Partner council consisted of a select group of customers and non-customers. It allowed ADD Systems to combine the expertise of its experienced staff with the real world expertise of its large and diverse client base.

Robert Culbertson, ADD Systems COO, explains the company’s bold R&D initiative: “We have 110 customers representing thousands of stores successfully running our existing application. The fast changing needs of this group and the industry at large challenged us to build a software product that is ahead of the curve, providing users with features that will allow for efficient operations, data simplicity, and process flexibility. ADD eStore is also fully integrated with our Wholesale application since we know that many marketers are diversified into both sectors. ADD Systems wanted to invest in the c-store market and express our commitment to the industry by delivering technology driven value to a broad spectrum of customers, from small independents to the largest marketers.”

A.E. Robinson’s Scott Goodridge went on to say that “the ADD Systems’ team has been great to work with… anytime I needed anything someone has been right there to help. And with this being a ground up project, it was important to be able to offer recommendations during the final development process. I was able to make several suggestions that I thought made the system better and more user friendly.”

Since 1973, ADD Systems has been a leading provider of software for the petroleum, propane, gasoline, convenience store industries. They maintain their corporate headquarters in Flanders, New Jersey and subsidiary offices in Montreal, Orlando, and Providence. ADD Systems Mourns the Loss of Valued Employee Bruce Jewett

Flanders, NJ - Advanced Digital Data, Inc. (ADD Systems) is saddened to inform our customers and the industry that long time valued employee Bruce Jewett passed away Friday, August 10, 2007.  A memorial service has been scheduled for him on Friday, August 17, 2007 at the Methodist Church in Peterborough, New Hampshire where Jewett was a long-standing member of his former hometown church.  The Family asks in lieu of flowers; please direct all donations to the church in memory of Bruce Jewett.

One of the great assets of any organization is the knowledge of experienced employees.  Although roles change over time, a smart company retains the collected knowledge and experience and applies that asset to enhance its business.  Bruce Jewett spent 12 years in the petroleum industry before joining ADD Systems.  Jewett spent the next 22 years on the road, installing and teaching customers how to use the software to fit their needs.  The last 3 years Jewett had been a fixture at our Flanders, New Jersey office where he often directed his knowledge to the support team.  With his years of experience, Jewett was often able to cut quickly to the core of a support request.

Another aspect of Jewett’s work was consulting with our clients, drawing on his years of experience at ADD Systems.  “They want to know how they can operate more efficiently, how they improve drops, how they can improve receivables, “he said.  In addition to responding to clients, he also delivered seminars both at our company and in the field.  He has been a guest speaker at seminars for the “Maine Oil Dealers Association” and the “Pennsylvania Petroleum Marketers Association” to name a few.

Bruce Jewett is survived by his wife Peggy Jewett, several children and step children as well as several grandchildren.  ADD Systems along with the Jewett family, our clients and the petroleum industry celebrate Bruce Jewett’s life, lifelong contributions and accomplishments.  We thank him for allowing us to be a part of his life.  We will miss the multi-colored sport coats that were a fixture of Bruce’s at our annual Christmas parties.  No one else could have pulled it off, except Bruce.

We melded the two applications, Super Jobber III + Mini-Fuel together to form ADD Energy®, the most powerful, flexible, and stable product on the market. Today, ADD Energy has an active base in excess of 7000 users. In 2005, ADD Systems acquired the energy division of VERSYSS and their Sunrise™ product. Sunrise was revolutionary in its development which used the Microsoft® .NET technology (.NET is the Microsoft Web services strategy to connect information, people, systems, and devices). ADD Systems combined the deep functionality and stable platform of ADD Energy with the new technology of Sunrise and ADD Energy E3 was born.

Versyss Acquisition
Flanders, NJ – (Advanced Digital Data, Inc.) ADD Systems reaffirmed its position
as a leader in the energy software industry with its acquisition of the Energy Division
of Versyss Commercial Systems, LLC on January 25, 2005 when owner/CEO Bruce
A. Bott
announced that ADD Systems has acquired the assets of the Energy Division of Versyss. The deal includes the Versyss family of energy software products (Versyss Classic, Apex and Sunrise), over 350 customers, 35 employees and two office
locations: Providence, RI and Toronto, Ontario.

“When Versyss Commercial Systems approached ADD Systems about acquiring the
energy division, we responded quickly as we were interested in their technology and products,” Bott explained. “The more we thought about it, adding more qualified
resources while increasing our market share made the decision a lot easier. The
personnel of Versyss bring with them a vast degree of knowledge and experience
gained in the energy industry, with special expertise in the latest computer technology.
As a result, we will be able to develop our joint applications at an accelerated pace
with even more comprehensive features. ADD Systems will be able to offer a selection
of products and technology of unparalleled value for today’s energy marketer.”

The coming months will contain much work as they integrate the employees, products, computer and phone networks into the ADD Systems family. But as Bott explains:
“During this transition, ADD Systems will maintain our standard of excellent customer service for both existing customers and the new users from Versyss. Our ADD executives and employees bring experience to this type of acquisition.” The Versyss acquisition
marks the third major acquisition of a competitor by ADD Systems. In 1997, ADD

with it an office in Montreal, 28 employees, 54 customers, and multiple software products, including MiniFuel, Wholesale, LINC and Pegasus. In 1999, ADD acquired the PSS petroleum division of EDS. That acquisition brought with it an office in Orlando with 55 employees and multiple software products including: PAMS, Power*Store 2 and Power*Scan.
