Handheld Scanner Terminal

ADD Systems Handheld Scanner Terminal is a handheld scanner that is used for automating the process of gathering the direct store deliveries and verifying them against the store’s price book. This unit provides for greater management control of: inventory at the store, vendor charges and vendor tickets for payables.

Receiving Merchandise
Scanning for Direct Store Deliveries
and verifying them against the
store’s price book, provides superior management control of incoming
deliveries. This sets up vendor charges
and tickets for payables, while
maintaining and adjusting inventory.
Audits can be performed by scanning
an item’s UPC or PLU bar code, then
transmitted to Power*Store2.

Preparing Invoice Data
The Handheld Scanner Terminal price book is currently based on what the home office receives electronically from the vendor, which is then sent to Power*Store2, the POS unit and to Handheld Scanner Terminal.
When a delivery is made, the user
simply chooses the correct vendor
from the dropdown menu on the touch screen, scans the item’s UPC or PLU bar code and enters the count. The price book supports the new expanded 24-character UPC code. This

information will then update the Power Store and home office inventory systems and update accounts payable for payment to that vendor. If the item is not found, the system alerts the store manager that the vendor may be dropping off items not previously authorized. Handheld Scanner Terminal can confirm if the prices on the tickets are verified against the price book. Your business rules will then determine how the discrepancies are handled.

Inventory Audits
The Handheld Scanner Terminal handheld terminal can conveniently load audit information into Power*Store2. The user or a third party audit company can use Handheld Scanner Terminal to perform a physical audit by scanning an item’s UPC or PLU bar code and keying in the quantity found in the store. The user will then use the Power*Store2 audit screens to view/modify the audits
and complete the audit approval.
The audits then update the Power
Store and Home office inventory records.

Printing Bar Shelf Labels
With an interface to another software package,
the Power Scan unit can send a print job to a printer,
to print Bar Shelf labels, based on that store’s
specific pricebook.
