ADD Systems sponsored and participated in this month’s Women in Energy Conference in Princeton, New Jersey. Each year, this event brings women together to acknowledge their impact on the energy industry, foster meaningful connections, and provide a supportive network. The conference holds a special place for us, as the achievements of women have been instrumental to ADD Systems’ growth.
This year’s event started off with a networking reception the night before. The main day consisted of sessions on many topics, including: higher education benefits, effective communication, the global energy economy, AI, work-life balance, and setting future goals. The keynote program was titled “Trust Your Personal Power” and was presented by Anita Zinsmeister, the President of Dale Carnegie Training of Central & Southern NJ. Anita discussed her professional journey, outlining the challenges she faced while advancing within the corporate environment. She provided strategies for fostering self-confidence, managing self-doubt, and leveraging individual strengths for success.
A number of ADD Systems team members attended the Women in Energy Conference and found it extremely valuable:
“The 2025 Women in Energy Conference was more than an event – it was a catalyst: uniting visionary women across the energy sector to share expertise, spark collaboration, and drive meaningful progress in a rapidly evolving industry,” said Kristin Bolduc, Software Application Specialist. “Getting to see and know the younger women coming up in the energy industry as guests from SUNY ESF was a nice addition to an already incredible networking event.”
“I was fortunate enough to attend my 2nd Women in Energy Conference,” said Dawn Quinn, Learning & Development Specialist. “I truly value the opportunity to connect with other women in our industry. The sessions they offer at the conference always provide valuable information and ignite ideas.”
“The Women in Energy conference was powerful and full of energy, from hearing from college-aged women about why they chose the energy sector as their major to women who grew up in the industry and their struggles and successes throughout their careers,” said Jennifer Trafelet, Software Application Specialist. “The sessions were well-led, encouraging collaboration on industry trends, progressions, and tips and tricks on uses of AI and how to captivate your audience.”
We appreciate the work the Women in Energy national association does to connect and empower women in the industry. Learn more about Women in Energy and consider joining today!
