In the technology industry, things move fast and are ever-changing. Software is at the forefront of our business, but print has an important place in serving our customers. ADD Systems offers printing services that cover day-to-day operations to engaging marketing materials. Print Account Manager Brian Kelly works side-by-side with our customers to help them get print essentials; he also helps them think outside the box on the ways print could serve their bottom line. We sat down with Brian to see where print is at in 2026 and how bright the future looks for printed material that conveys trust and drives business forward.
How would you describe what you do for our customers?
All aspects of complete print services, from consulting, design, production, and completion in a timely manner, to meet or exceed customer expectations.
What do customers tend to come to you for most often?
Delivery receipts indicating the gallons delivered remain a requirement in many states. This is why Raven Delivery Tickets and Meter Tickets are two of our most popular items: they’re a critical part of their day-to-day operations, and distributors need a supplier that is reliable, that delivers good quality, and that makes the process easy.
How has your role changed over the years?
To really live up to my promise to be a true partner, I am working on spending more face time with customers and prospects via Zoom meetings or on-site visits. It gives me the opportunity to get a deeper understanding of client needs and easily share new ideas to help them grow their brand and be more profitable.
Are you doing anything differently today than you were a few years ago?
I’m now in my fifth year with ADD Systems, and I am much more knowledgeable about ADD Systems software solutions for the Commercial Bulk Fuels, Heating Oil, Propane, HVAC, Wholesale Petroleum, Lubricants Distribution, and Convenience Store industries, which makes me more effective in my role. Today, I strive to bring solutions that enhance efficiency but also deliver a strong marketing message for our clients to help further their business goals.
Have there been any recent improvements or changes in how you support customers?
We’ve implemented some internal process improvements that make us much more efficient with customer-facing documents, order tracking, and a smooth billing process.
What have customers responded to really well lately?
QR Code Asset Tags for fleet fueling and tank/asset tracking have been very well received lately. They make it easier for customers to identify which tank the product needs to go into while providing detailed delivery information by asset rather than a single bulk delivery of X gallons. By tracking assets accurately through our software, our clients gain inventory control, reduce product filling mistakes, and have better reporting both internally and externally, with reports they can share with their clients, which reduces manual processes for all.
Are there any updates or capabilities you think customers might not fully realize are available?
We offer a full range of commercial printing services, including brochures, flyers, pocket folders, sell sheets, door hanger bags, and more, giving customers a convenient one-stop solution for both operational and marketing print materials.
Can you think of a recent situation where you were able to make a big difference for a customer?
Brendan Calton at F.C. Haab Energy Services asked if ADD Systems had a ready-made announcement for the Raven Mobile Delivery and Billing System. I worked with our marketing team to design and produce a custom version, which F.C. Haab used to communicate the new invoicing change to their customers ahead of implementation, helping to create a smooth transition, eliminating any confusion and disruptions. It follows our belief that an informed customer is a happy customer.
How are customer needs around print and billing shifting right now?
Some customers are moving towards a paperless environment by emailing invoices and statements, which makes sense for a lot of people. But my goal is to continue showing the value of brand awareness and return on investment through print. The fewer printed documents customers receive, the more potential they have to stand out and make a real difference.
What’s something you wish more customers took advantage of?
People often just think of tickets, invoices, and statements when they think about their printing needs, but signage and large-format printing offer a whole different opportunity for brand awareness.
As customer needs evolve, ADD Systems’ print services continue to focus on efficiency, flexibility, and value. Whether it’s supporting daily operations or enhancing brand presence, the goal is to make print more effective for every customer. With Brian Kelly’s expertise, ADD is helping customers balance digital trends with the lasting reliability of print material.
