ADD Systems® held its largest User Conference ever this May at the Disney World Boardwalk Resort in Florida. The 2017 Business Tech Conference had record attendance with 250 people from more than 100 companies. This made for an exceptional opportunity to network, share best practices, learn about the latest ADD software, meet with vendors and have fun.
The event kicked off on Tuesday the 16th with a rush of people at the registration desk to be part of the ADD User Group (AUG) meeting that afternoon. Again, we saw a record number of attendees at this gathering, where Dave Widener of Dead River Company gave a presentation of the foundation and goals of the AUG, followed by an update from each AUG committee chair. These were followed up by a presentation by John Redmond of ADD Systems on the history of the user group influence on ADD development direction and the current development path.
The next two days brought sessions jam-packed with exciting new software announcements, client best practices, vendor partner presentations and abundant networking opportunities. The sessions covered topics like:
- The latest ADD Energy E3® & ADD eStore® enhancements
- Raven Mobility Updates & best practices
- NEW Raven® Companion announcement
- NEW Raven® Fleet Fueler announcement
- NEW Atlas reporting dashboard & self-service announcement
- New Communications module
- Tank Monitoring Best Practices
- Partner sessions on Web portals & AR collection methods
In addition to the sessions, ADD Systems also provided Ask-the-Expert stations, where clients had a chance to initiate focused, individual discussions with ADD’s software and industry specialists. Topics like eCommerce, Raven Dispatch and Tank Monitoring were just some of the expert stations available.
The event also provided multiple opportunities to visit our vendor partners. Exhibitor tables were available during every break and partners were present at all events. There was no shortage of exciting and valuable information at each attendee’s fingertips.
Social Evening Events
Of course, there was a lot to take in during these full days, but ADD made sure to plan some easy-going social time in the evenings. Attendees and their families had a chance to enjoy good food, great entertainment and plenty of networking opportunities with events like:
- Welcome Reception at Disney Boardwalk’s Dance Hall – a perfect mix of great music, dancing, photo booths and cotton candy
- Epcot Illuminations Dinner and Show – lakeside, front row seats to Epcot’s fireworks display
- Luau Dinner at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon – A water park all to ourselves for dinner and a live show
