ADD Systems owners, Bruce and Gale Bott, raised their six children while growing a business. With its strong foundation of family values, ADD recognizes the important balance of family and business. The ADD Business Tech Conference (BTC) held at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is a perfect blend of the two. Customers, vendors and ADD employees spent their days hearing about all the exciting things ADD Systems has to offer. Sessions ran during the day while families enjoyed the theme parks and the pool. Each evening was filled with family-friendly events that gave adults time to unwind and socialize, while kids enjoyed lots of fun surprises.
Welcome Reception at Atlantic Dance Hall
Opening night of the BTC was an Atlantic City Boardwalk themed party. Customers were encouraged to bring significant others and family along to meet other attendees, ADD Systems employees and enjoy drinks and great food. One of the biggest hits was the slider bar and chocolate fondue stations. And it would not be a night at the Jersey Boardwalk without some boardwalk themed entertainment, including a magician and fortune teller, and of course some tasty cotton candy! Although kids were welcome to join their parents at the dance hall, there was also a special, separate kids’ party. Rooms were set up with arts and crafts, video games, movies, ball pits, bounce houses and more. A special visit from Gaston and Belle from Beauty and the Beast completed the evening for all of the little Princes and Princesses in the room.
EPCOT Illuminations Fireworks
The EPCOT evening never disappoints! ADD Systems had a private viewing area for the Illuminations: Reflections of Earth nighttime fireworks show, right along the park’s World Showcase Lagoon. Conference attendees enjoyed internationally inspired food and great conversation making the time fly by! The balloon artist kept the children entertained while the ice cream sundae bar was enjoyed by adults and children alike! This was a great night of mingling followed by an incredible fireworks display that left everyone in awe of the magic of Disney.
Typhoon Lagoon Luau
The last evening of the ADD Systems BTC was something new…a luau! Guests were greeted by Hawaiian hula dancers with flowered lei’s as they stepped foot onto the wave pool beaches. A feast inspired by the flavors of Polynesia and a signature mango cocktail delighted guests’ taste buds. As the sun set, adults enjoyed beach games and relaxing conversation, while kids learned traditional South Pacific dances and entertained themselves with crafts and Legos at the kid station. There was even a surprise visit by the newest Disney character, Moana! Adults and children gathered around for photos and autographs. Once the sun was down, everyone was wowed by hula dances and a mesmerizing fire-knife performance. It was definitely a night to remember!
ADD Systems Shines Again at User Conference
John DeCarr of Superior Plus Energy, an avid fan of ADD’s family-friendly conferences, had this to say about his latest experience, “One of the things that my family loves to do is visit Disney, and combining that with the ADD Conference makes for a “Dream Come True”. A great benefit of the conference is getting conference rates on the rooms before and after the event, making it seem almost “magical”. My daughter is 12 (going on 20) and she just can’t wait for the ADD Conference to happen every three years. She looks forward to re-acquainting herself with her past acquaintances and of course, it’s Disney. My daughter is already planning for 2020!”
