The 2025 ADD User Group Annual Meeting presented an opportunity for committee chairs to highlight their teams’ 2024 accomplishments and to share 2025 goals. In summary, the AUG Committees delivered another year of impactful collaboration, knowledge sharing, and feedback across all ADD products. From software enhancements and best practices to system integrations and efficiency-gaining process improvements, each group worked hard to support members, improve software utilization, and advance ADD Systems products.
ADD User Group Committee Goals
While each committee focuses on a different functional area, all of them emphasize these shared core goals:
- Foster collaborative working relationships among peers and ADD Systems
- Share best practices to improve efficiency and the use of ADD software
- Focus on enhancement ideas to help steer ADD strategic product development
- Give equal time and voice to every company, no matter the size
Here’s a look at the past year’s activity and what’s ahead in 2025.
Raven / Delivery Committee
The Raven /Delivery Committee focuses on all things delivery and has a large and engaged membership, making for informative sessions with a wide range of perspectives. Regular monthly meetings this past year as well as joint meetings with the SmartConnect Committee and the Best Practices Committee led to discussions on topics like tank monitor integration, event-driven communication, degree day management, and Raven Billing. Their 2025 plans will include the following:
- Tank monitor integration expansion
- Postmortem of 2024 winter, Good, Bad, and the Ugly
- “Did You Know” or an “I Wish It Did This” Forum each month
- Member-driven timely topics
Pegasus / Service Committee
The Pegasus /Service Committee, focused on all things service and HVAC-related, continued to grow in 2024, becoming an even more informative resource for users. Last year’s topics included a Gas Check demo and option review, Pegasus setup options and demo, and a tips and tricks session.
Some 2025 discussion topics include:
- Service parts inventory
- Flat Rate billing
- Gas Checks
- E3 & Pegasus system setup
- Customer Equipment
- Service Reports
Business Intelligence (BI) and Reporting Committee
If you want answers from your data, this committee is for you! The 2024 BI & Reporting Committee covered many topics, including a review of favorite KPIs (key performance indicators) and reports members use to measure and manage their departments. From service operations to delivery optimization, members discussed what metrics work best for them and shared advice on the tools they use to make sense of their data. Some of the potential reporting topics planned for 2025 include:
- Power BI and Atlas workshops
- Leveraging AI
- Data governance
- Customer pricing
- Customer and product segmentation
- Weather forecasting and heating degree days
SmartConnect & 3rd Party Integration Committee
This committee focuses on third party integrations and the use of SmartConnect to streamline those touchpoints. SmartConnect is ADD’s portfolio of APIs that allow read/write access to your data. In 2024 this committee focused on helping members get the most out of the product, reviewing the latest functionality, sharing use cases, and emphasizing best practices. Collaboration with the Raven/Delivery and the Best Practice Committees led to wider discussions of tank monitor integration. Looking ahead to 2025, some focus areas will be:
- What’s new in SmartConnect – a review of the latest features
- Continued collaboration with the Raven/Delivery Committee on tank monitor integration
- Exploring SmartConnect’s role in acquisitions
- Credit card processing
- General tips and tricks for everyday use
Wholesale /eLoadtrack Committee
The Wholesale Committee focuses on wholesale fuel operations with a constant eye toward improving efficiency in this fast-passed, tight margin business. In 2024, the group focused on both best practices and development feedback, covering topics like inventory management, best buy functionality, and supplier tax deferral. Looking ahead to 2025, key focus areas include:
- Inventory management
- Billing best practices
- Dispatch monitor review
- Supplier contracts
Lubricants & Warehouse Management Committee
The Lubricant & Warehouse Management Committee is the AUG’s newest committee, and, as the name states, it is focused on lubricants and other warehoused products that use ADD Systems Warehouse Distribution Management System (WDMS). Last year, members focused on inventory, pricing, and reporting. They also hosted a demo of the ADD Energy Assist handheld scanning device that assists with inventory audits. The group’s plans for 2025 include:
- Inventory management best practices
- Focus on pricing
- Discussion of reporting and analytics
- Review of ADD Energy Assist
As we move further into 2025, the ADD User Group committees remain focused on progress, collaboration, and meaningful results. The more voices and ideas members bring to the table, the more we can accomplish together. If you haven’t already joined a committee, now is a great time!
