Each spring, ADD Systems and the ADD User Group (AUG) gather to reflect on the progress of the past year, share development updates, and look toward what is coming next. The 2025 AUG Annual Meeting, held on May 7 at ADD Systems’ headquarters in Flanders, NJ, lived up to this tradition with a full day of updates, demos, and strategic discussions. It all began with a lively welcome dinner the evening before.
Welcome and Committee Reports
The meeting opened with a presentation from the AUG leadership team, including a review of the previous year’s accomplishments, committee activity updates, and goals for this year. This set the stage for a full day focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.
Enhancement Highlights: Strategic and Tactical
A core part of the meeting focused on the structured enhancement process that enables AUG members to submit, discuss, and vote on potential product development ideas. The process is designed to highlight both strategic and tactical needs across the user base. Tactical enhancements address more specific, day-to-day usability needs, while strategic enhancements focus on development that addresses greater industry opportunities. This approach allows all ADD users to have an equal voice in helping to set ADD Systems development priorities, as well as offer clear insight into what matters most to users.
Looking Ahead to the BTC 2026
Members were treated to a preview of the Business Tech Conference (BTC) 2026, ADD’s triennial user conference. Once again, it will be held in Disney World, May 18th -22nd, 2026, and it will offer a great opportunity to connect with other ADD Users, ADD Employees, and ADD Partners. This family-friendly event will be packed full of educational sessions, new product announcements, networking opportunities, and magical evening activities, perhaps even in a galaxy far, far away.
Product Development
The discussion then turned to the product roadmap. For ADD Energy E360, enhancements included things like vaulted banking information for EFT payments in the same way credit cards are vaulted. This helps securely and efficiently keep track of sensitive banking information. Another standout was the new Quick Edit feature, which allows users to edit key customer information quickly from the display screen. The editable fields are customizable, giving users control and efficiency. Additionally, an enhancement that links delivery and service locations on a customer account was introduced to easily indicate a clear relationship.
The number of enhancements across all ADD products is extensive in this first release of version 25, with even more to come throughout the year. A complete list is available in the What’s New documents in the ADD Client Portal.
Financials Update: Microsoft Business Central
A session given by third-party financial provider, Blue Moon, explored their latest offering, Microsoft Business Central. Just as Microsoft GP is fully integrated with ADD software, ADD users were introduced to how this new cloud-based financials solution integrates as well and offers greater flexibility, scalability, and ease of access. This session provided valuable insights into the potential benefits of adopting Business Central in conjunction with ADD Systems’ products.
Collaboration and Closing
As the meeting concluded, ADD Systems thanked AUG members for their ongoing contributions and feedback. This collaborative approach ensures that the software evolves in line with real-world needs, providing users with the best tools to improve their business processes. With last year’s top enhancements already in progress and the BTC 2026 on the horizon, the AUG community is well-equipped to continue driving innovation and shaping the future of ADD Systems software.
