ADD Systems was honored to sponsor and take in part in the Women in Energy Conference in Mystic, Connecticut this past month. Every year, women come together to celebrate the contributions they have made to the energy industry, to connect on a deeper level, and to create a strong support system for each other. This event is especially meaningful to us because of the many women who contribute to our success. With our owner and 5 of 6 board members being female, as well as the many women in our various departments, we wouldn’t be where we are today without having an inclusive workplace. This, along with the many great things this event showcases, is the reason for our continued sponsorship and participation in Women in Energy.
“The 2024 Women in Energy event vastly exceeded my expectations, “said Kristin Bolduc, Software Application Specialist at ADD Systems. “As a first-time member at the event, I found it to be well organized, thoughtfully planned out, and very welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed networking with and surrounding myself with many of these empowering and encouraging women in all facets of the energy industry. The sessions were informative and engaging by utilizing multiple group activities throughout the incredible keynote and session speakers. I am very much looking forward to attending the Women in Energy event in 2025.”
Dawn Quinn, ADD Systems’ Learning and Development Specialist, also mentioned the value of the Women in Energy Conference. She learned about the Women in Energy Mentorship Program. This program provides women with tools and connections in the energy industry to succeed. Annually, this mentorship program also delegates Mentorship Awards to women who have made a positive impact on the industry. Overall, Dawn was very happy to have participated in the conference.
“I was lucky enough to attend the Women in Energy conference in Mystic, Connecticut this past September, “Dawn said. “The conference gave me a chance to connect with others in all aspects of our industry. I gained a greater understanding of our industry as a whole and had many amazing takeaways from the conference. I plan to incorporate some of those ideas in my role at ADD Systems. I appreciate ADD Systems for giving me the opportunity and hope to be able to attend again, as well as include others.”
